Training of Trainers: P/CVE Programming and Capacity Building Program for CSOs
20.04.2019.
Lack of capacities, financial instability, programs inconsistent with communities’ needs, lack of cooperation and coordination with other relevant stakeholders are only some of the problems which CSOs engaged in P/CVE in the WB have been facing with.
Therefore, twelve trainers from the WB gathered from 15th to 18th of April, 2019 at regional Training of Trainers organised in Podgorica by Forum MNE with aim to draft/tailor make training curriculum for CSOs’ P/CVE capacity building program in each of the participating countries. Training was facilitated by international experts David Dews, Franziska Praxl-Tabuchi, and Matthew Schwartz.
During four-day training participants discussed about various aspects of P/CVE programming, shared their experiences, discussed needs of CSOs in their countries and identified potential topics for national capacity building programs which will be implemented during 2019.
The activity is part of the regional project “Communities First: creation of civil society hub to address violent extremism- from prevention to reintegration” which Forum MNE (Montenegro) implements in partnership with Centre for Legal Civic Initiatives (Albania), Hope and Homes for Children (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Partners Kosova – Centre for Conflict Management (Kosovo), Centre for Common Ground (North Macedonia), and Cultural Centre DamaD (Serbia). Project is financially supported by the European Union, the Balkan Trust for Democracy, a project of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro.
